For a school to be truly successful, it takes the support of the entire community. Prentiss Christian has been serving Jefferson Davis County and the surrounding areas for 50 years, and we plan for the next 50 years to be greater than the first! Gifts to Prentiss Christian provide the support we need to continue advancing in our mission to develop next generation leaders by providing a quality education from a Biblical Worldview. Your gift helps us grow in the following areas:
Technology
Your gift helps us to provide the latest technology for our students. This past school year, through financial contributions and access to grants, we were able to secure the purchase of new Chromebooks for our Elementary Computer Lab. This year, we are updating our High School Computer Lab with new Chromebooks. We have upgraded our internet to provide speeds that allow our students to use campus WiFi in class for expanded learning opportunities. Moving forward, we plan to outfit each classroom with new computers and interactive learning boards.
Curriculum Expansion
Your gift helps us continue to expand our curriculum offerings through the purchase of new and upgraded textbooks and resources, the hiring of additional staff, and the purchase of important professional development tools, as we continue to build a curriculum that prepares our students to meet the challenges of the future.
Capital Improvements
Being in one place for 50 years means that there is always work to be done on improving and adding to our facilities. We have made upgrades to our cafeteria, gym, and athletic facilities in the past several years, but this work is far from over. Plans for the future include a full upgrade of the existing building, expansion of athletic facilities, and upgrades to playground and recreational areas. Through your generous gifts, this summer we were able to completely renovate the school office, and build a new concession stand/press box for our baseball/softball facility.
Athletics
Prentiss Christian has a proud history of athletic success! More than just winning games, however, athletics at PC is about building character, teaching teamwork, and preparing our student-athletes for the challenges of life. Your gift helps us to purchase equipment upgrades, uniforms, and training for our student-athletes.
